The ten channel VHF aircraft station STR.9-X / SE-015 made by the British Standard Telephones and Cables Ltd. came with the je fighter aircraft DH-100 Mk6 "Vampire" and the later DH-112 Mk1 / Mk 4 "Venom" acquired after 1948.
As there was no ten channel VHF ground station already available, Swiss Air Force technicians designed an improvised mobile ground station for field used based on a STR.9-X / SE-015 VHF radio in a steel tube rack with a power supply and control panel, the mobile station got the designation SE-015/t (for tragbar = portable).

STR.9-X Manual

The hollow state VHF aircraft radio SE-015 / STR.9-X was used in the fighter aircraft de Havilland "Vampire" und "Venom"; it has also been used as portable ground station for use on improvised air fields.
For this purpose, the transceiver itself has been installed in a steel tube rack, the frequency selector switch, an AF / voice amplifier with volume control and speaker have been made in Switzerland, the same with an external mains power supply, which also can charge accumulators for mains independent use.

The station SE-015/t has been in service from 1954 until it's liquidation in 1993.
