The Kurz - Lang - Bodenstation 1001 eF (Short - long ground station) developed in 1938 by Telefunken Berlin had been constructed as an aircraft station for intercontinental communications for large aircraft; the station in two steel tube racks would fit perfectly into a small truck to be used as a motorised ground station.

Wireless ground station with separate transmitter and receiver,

Receiver: Telefunken Ae 3013, 300 - 620 kHz und 3 - 12 MHz

Modes: Telegraphy CW (A1), telephony (A3)

Sensitivity: A1 2-3 uV, A3 5-6 uV

Receiver power requirements: 26,5 V = / 2,6 A or mains 110 - 250 V.

The Kurz - Lang- Bodenstation 1001 eF (Short- Longwave ground station 1000 eF) has been developed by Telefunken Berlin GmbH in 1938 and has been constructed by Telefunken / Albiswerke Zürich AG, the 25 stations (Ritter has 35 stations) were built in 1939/40.
The equipment was primarily constructed as an aircraft station, by this fact the strange power requirement of 27V DC is explained. The compact dimensions made the station suitable to be installed in steel tube frames on board of a light truck, so it could be used as motorised aeronautical ground station.

The receiver is the Telefunken Ae 3013, a superhet with one RF stage and two AF stages, in the receiver with the IF of 1312 kHz, seven valves NF4 are used. sieben Stück NF 4 Röhren bestückt. The receiver covers longwaves 300 - 620 kHz and shortwaves 3 - 12 MHz in three ranges.
This receiver was the weak point of the station, with his reedback IF stage, theselectivity of the set was considered as not sufficient for this kind of ground station
The receiver can be powered from the aircraft on-board power system with 26,5 V or from mains.

The equipment shown is part of a Swiss provate collection.
